Abstract

|
The Sacrococcygel Teratoma is considered to be fairly rare tumor, which was congenital origin and reresented abnormal development of fetal embryo.
The tumor is found predominantly in females. It can be cystic or solid, malignant or benign.
The tumors should be removed surgically because of possible tendency to become malignancy.
At Pusan Maryknoll Hospital, good results were obtained in the surgical removal of sarococcygeal
teratoma in 2 cases, 17 days old, female infant and 3 months old female child. The 2 cases are reported and the literature is reviewed.
